Meet The Ropes! They are a very talented duo from New York that is composed of Sharon Shy (Lykke Li lookalike!) and "Toppy". They remind me of The Knife and Shiny Toy Guns. Melodic.. atmospheric...
Sharon may look like Lykke Li, but she doesn't sound like her. Her vocals are purring, fuzz-drenched at times, and undeniably sexy!
Anyway, I really like them. They've released an album, What They Do for Fun, and two eps, and have a new ep coming out soon called Be My Gun. Here's a couple of their songs to check out. My favorite is Be My Gun, the title track off their new ep! The bassline is delicious.
